Chepauk

Chepauk is a locality area in the city of Chennai. The M.A. Chidambaram Stadium is also located at the same place.

Chepauk is a referred to the locality in the Indian city of Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The very name "Chepauk" is famously used to refer to the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium - an international stadium in Chennai that have produced some of the best cricketing actions. This place is the home to the Chepauk palace that was actually built in the Indo-Saracenic style.

There are many popular and noteworthy landmarks in Chepauk. The University of Madras is of course one such prominent landmark in the place. The Central Research Laboratory is also situated there, and is also believed that the very name "Chepauk" itself might have been derived from the Urdu language word "Che Bagh" which means "Six gardens". Apart from the University of Madras there are also other places that are located in the place as well. The apartment complex for Tamil Nadu legislative assembly-secretariat is also located on the periphery of Chepauk.

The Chennai MRTS rail system passes through, and has a station at Chepauk.
