Arun Vishnu was born to Dr. K. Sivarajan and K. Revamma at Kozhikode in Kerala. His full name is Sivarajan Revamma Arun Vishnu. Arun Vishnu completed his post graduation in Commerce from Farook College, Calicut affiliated with University of Calicut.

Now Arun Vishnu is employed with the Indian Oil Corporation as an Officer.

Sports Career of Arun Vishnu
Arun Vishnu started playing badminton at the age of 12 under Kerala Sports Council Coach A. Nazer. Arun Vishnu is currently perusing the training at Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad under the guidance of Pullela Gopichand. Pullela Gopichand is a former Indian badminton player. He won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001. After that he became the second Indian to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone. Now he runs the Gopichand Badminton Academy.

Arun Vishnu and Aparna Balan are Indian National Badminton Champion in Mixed Doubles category in the consecutive years of 2011, 2012 and 2013. Arun Vishnu and Tarun Kona, another Indian badminton player are Indian National Badminton Champion in Men Doubles category in the year 2011.

Arun Vishnu has represented India in World Badminton Championships 2013 and 2009, Asian Games 2010, Asian Badminton Championships 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010 and Sudirman Cup 2013, 2011 and 2009. In 2013 Indian Badminton League, a championship inspired from Indian Premier League, Arun Vishnu plays for the Pune Pistons. Pune Pistons is an Indian badminton franchise owned by Mohit Burman, who owns Dabur Group and Savan Daru for the Indian Badminton League. The team`s home ground is Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune, Maharashtra. The team is captained by Ashwini Ponnappa, another badminton maestro in Indian badminton.
