Satapada Beach is located in Puri district, Odisha. In Oriya language sata means "seven" and pada means "village", so Satapada means group of seven villages. It is located 50 kilometers from Puri. Satapada on Chilika is home to the Irrawaddy dolphin. There are several options of water sports like canoeing, kayaking and boating etc. Nalaban Bird Sanctuary is located near Satapada, where some migratory birds can be seen as well. A small island called Rajahamsa is also situated near Satapada, which is named after the rajahamsa (mute swan).
