The Khongjom War Memorial was built to commemorate the martyrdom of Manipur’s Major General Paona Brajabashi in 1891. The memorial is a historical place that is located on Kheba Hill on the Indo- Myanmar in the state of Manipur.

Surrounded by picturesque hills and valleys and a 30 ft high entrance, the Khongjom War Memorial is one of the popular tourist spots in the Thoubal district. Each year on 23rd April, the Khongjom Day is celebrated, which marks the last battle of Manipur, also known as the Anglo- Manipur War. Currently, the memorial stands as a reminder of the brave warriors the state has produced in the past, who have fought for their native land.
