Face Ubtans are used to impart natural glow by using all natural ingredients on the body to provide the benefits of massage. Indian folk healers practised and relied on this method since ages to have naturally glowing skin. Ubtans, mostly used in north India, can be used for both body and face. But regular usage of ubtans on face should be avoided; for body one can use ubtans on daily basis. Correct Ubtan on skin can bring the inner glow leaving it soft and smooth.
Types of Face Ubtans
There are several types of Face Ubtans, which are used for different purposes of the skin. Some are used as only face wash, and some are used as face packs. Different types of Face Ubtans are provided below:
Face Ubtan for Soft and Supple Skin: Take a cup of (red lentil), quarter cup raw rice and eight-nine almonds; grind each of them separately. Then, mix these three powders in a bowl and add about half a cup of oatmeal and a pinch of turmeric in it. Make a thick paste by adding rose water to it. Apply it all over the face. Wash it off with normal water once it gets dried up. Use of this Ubtan makes the skin soft and supple.
Face Ubtan for Acne: Take 1 teaspoon neem powder, 3 teaspoon chickpea flour, 2 teaspoon sandalwood powder, 1/4 spoon turmeric powder and 2 teaspoon ground cucumber. Now mix all the ingredients together in a bowl with water to make a thick paste of it. Massage this paste on face for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. This reduces acne.
Face Ubtan for Wrinkles, Finelines and Dark Spots: Take 2 tablespoon of Almond powder, 1 tablespoon of egg white, 2 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of gram flour. Mix all the ingredients together to make a thick paste of it with a little water. Apply this paste on the skin for 15 minutes and let it dry. Once it gets dried up then wash it off with normal water.
Face Ubtan for Skin Cleansing: Add 1 cup gram flour, 2 teaspoon mustard powder, 3teaspoons rose water, 2 teaspoon crushed fresh coriander leaves, 1 Cup yoghurt. Mix them all together with water and apply it all over the face, let it dry and then wash it with normal water.
Face Ubtan for Face Wash: Add 1tablespoon sandalwood powder, 2 tablespoon besan, half tablespoon turmeric powder, 2 tablespoon milk together and make a paste of them and apply it all over the face with an applicator brush. Leave it for 15 minutes; once it is dried then rinse with normal water. One can use it daily as a face wash.
