He plays currently on Asia Tour, where he has one victory. He came in the limelight of Indian golf after having victory of Asian Tour.

Early Life of Rahil Gangjee
Rahil Gangjee was born in Kolkata (West Bengal) where he still resides. He was educated at La Martiniere School, Kolkata. He had a decorated amateur career in golf that included the 1997 Sri Lankan Amateur and the East India Amateur in 1997 and 1999.

Sports Career of Rahil Gangjee
Rahil Gangjee was tagged as the number 1 Golfer in Amateur Tournaments in Golf in the year 1999. After that, Rahil Gangjee turned into a professional golfer in the year 2000. He played in his first full season on the Asian Tour in the year 2004.

Rahil Gangjee was a surprise winner in his Golf tournament victory at the Volkswagen Masters-China in 2004. It was only his 4th start of the season and 8th career start on Golf Tour.

Rahil Gangjee finished at -15 and won in a playoff over Korea`s Mo Joong-kyung. It was a strong field at the Volkswagen Masters that included Ian Woosnam, Nick Faldo, Phillip Price, Jeev Milkha Singh, Des Terblanche and Zhang Lian-wei.

Rahil Gangjee continued playing as a full time golf player on the tour, not picking up another tournament win between 2004 and 2008. He made 16 of 25 cuts with only one top-10 finish in 2008, not being able to keep his card for 2009. He did however pick up a non-tour event in India in 2008 in June at the PGTI Players Championship on the Professional Golf Tour of India in his home town of Kolkata by a dominating margin of five strokes.

At the 2011 Mylan Classic on the Nationwide Tour, Rahil Gangjee made an ace on the par-4 15th hole during the final round. He used driver to pull off the 316 yard shot.

Rahil Gangjee played on the Nationwide Tour in 2011 and 2012 and then returned to the Asian Tour. However, The best finish of Rahil Gangjee on the Nationwide Tour was T-11 at the 2011 Rex Hospital Open.

Rahil Gangjee is not only a golf player, he had also shown his keen interest in Horse riding. He was interested in horseback riding growing up as a boy in Kolkata From early time of his career, Rahil Gangjee credits Arjun Atwal, who was an internationally acclaimed golf player as his inspiration. Arjun Singh Atwal is an Indian professional golfer who has played on the Asian Tour and the European Tour. Arjun Atwal is the first golf player born in India to become a member of, and later win a tournament on the United States based PGA Tour.
