Swathi SangeethotsavamSwathi Sangeethotsavam, also referred to as `Swathi Music Festival`, is a musical festival which is observed for an entire week, in the memory of the music compositions of Maharaja Swathi Thirunal inside the courtyard of `Kuthira Malika` in Trivandrum, Kerala. It is conducted every year, particularly from 6th to 12th January. The festival is actually celebrated to pay tribute to the legendary musician Swathi Thirunal, and can be attended free of cost as such musical concerts are not ticketed. H.H. Rama Varma Maharaja of Travancore Trust organises the Swathi Sangeethotsavam festival, under the leadership of Prince Rama Varma since the year 2010.

History of Swathi Sangeethotsavam
The Government of Kerala conducted this festival in various other regions of Kerala during the period of the latter part of the 1990`s. Therefore, Swami Sangeethotsavam was no longer held at Kuthiramalika.

Numerous talented musicians have rendered their performances at the famous event of Swathi Sangeethotsavam, which is very popular throughout the country. P. Unni Krishnan, Mysore Manjunath, Kudumaloor Janardan, Pandit Venkatesh Kumar, Malladi Brothers, T.M. Krishna, Sanjay Subrahmaniyan, Ajoy Chakraborty, Abhradita Banerjee, Prince Rama Varma, Amrutha Venkatesh, Malladi Suri Babu, Venkataramanan, etc. are some of the well-known musicians who have performed at this event.
