![]() Early Life of Ashley Lobo Ashley Lobo was born on 18 March 1967 in Mumbai. He has grown up in an artistic environment which has resulted in his active involvement in dance and theatres. His mother, named Celia Lobo is an accomplished opera singer and theatre personality. During his early days he bagged the opportunity of working with directors and choreographers such as Salome Roy Kapoor, Karla Singh, Krishna Bhargava, Alyque Padamsee and others in a number of productions like Evita, Cabaret, They're Playing Our Song, Cascades, Grease and Best of Broadway. In the year 1989 he moved to Sydney, Australia where he studied dance at Bodenweiser Dance Centre and the well known Sydney Dance Company. In the former institute he was trained under late Margaret Chapple. Ashley Lobo has received training in Jazz, Classical Ballet and Contemporary styles for more than five years. He has also performed at various events in Australia. He was also involved in television and promotional work with international stars such as Teen Queens, Danni Minogue and Peter Andre while pursuing studies in Australia. Career of Ashley Lobo Ashley Lobo made his debut in Indian entertainment industry through television. Firstly he appeared in a daily show Good Morning India as a host of its dance fitness segment which was aired on Star Plus. The show featured more than 250 episodes. Later he judged the dance based reality show India's Dancing Superstar on Star Plus. Apart from these he has worked as a choreographer in a number of Bollywood films such as Cocktail, No One Killed Jessica, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Aazaan, Guzaarish, Blue, U, Me Aur Hum, Namastey London and many more.
