While Anjum Chopra was at the wicket it was difficult to keep memories of David Gower out of the system. The journalists often used the term 'lazy elegance' while describing her batting brilliance. She has been one of top bats for India in the women's team who played predominantly through the 'V' and did not hesitate to come down the wicket to the spinners.
Anjum was a slow starter and known for her timing and was equally comfortable on the off and on side.
