Awadhe WarriorsAwadhe Warriors is a badminton team owned by Sahara Adventure Sports Limited, a group company of Sahara India for the Indian Badminton League (IBL). The home ground of the team thrives to be Babu Banarasi Das, U.P. Badminton Academy, Lucknow and the team is captained by Indian badminton player P. V. Sindhu the coach is Muhammad Hafiz Hashim, a Malaysian player.

Awadhe Warriors houses La Martiniere Boy`s school, Luckow, as its school partner. As a multi-cultural city in the world, Lucknow is also one of the finest nurseries for nurturing badminton players. Populace of Awadh of yore even in the current times treat the sport as a family heirloom as pass the same passion from one generation to another. That had been a remarkable journey for Lucknow badminton-lovers as they carried the sporting tradition and has been carrying the same with grace and then blend effortlessly with the latest avatar of badminton, the Indian Badminton League. Babu Banarsi Das UP Badminton Academy (BBD UPBA) the snazzy one, the hub for the sport in this region, is excited to host the Awadhe Warriors team in the IBL.

Awadhe Warriors as a team had launched their Indian Badminton League campaign at a much earlier date against the Pune Vijetas on August 14. Awadh, known as the city of Nawabs is recognizable for their perennial hosting of the top badminton players for exalted international tournaments that got started from the first Asian Confederation Badminton Championship held in the year 1965 to the India Open Grand Prix Gold. More or less 50,000 school students are a part of the IBL School Programme in 16 prestigious schools in Lucknow, led by `IBL School Partner`, La Martiniere Boys.
