Majhi Sawaiyan, Indian ArcherMajhi Sawaiyan was born on 23rd December in the year 1981 is a popular athlete from India. He is a famous archer who has made a name for himself after representing in various competitions and tournaments. He is a famous personality in archery who has represented India and won many laurels for his country.

Right from his younger days he has been closely associated with archery. The story of Majhi is an inspiring one as many youngsters can certainly take motivation from this fact. There are a lot of positive that can be taken from the journey of this person. He has played at various competitions and championships. He also competed at 2004 Summer Olympics in the category of men`s single archery. He played hard to win but was unfortunately defeated. In spite of the fact that he was ranked #22 but he lost to Vic Wunderle (ranked 43rd) in the first round of elimination, placing 59th overall. Wunderle is a bronze medallist of the 2000 Olympics.

Later during the Athens games, Sawaiyan was a member of the 11th-place Indian men`s archery team.

He is still young and has lot of potential to represent his country at the highest level.
