Advantages of Techniques in Kickboxing
There are several advantages of kickboxing. It helps in enhancement of health and also improves chances of self defence. The kickboxing is a form of martial art technique and is not the same as aerobic kick boxing. The latter is mainly taught in the gyms by fitness trainers. Though the basic movements for the same are the same, but they have completely different objectives.
Part I of Techniques in Kickboxing
It is important to stand in front of the mirror while practising the kick boxing training. This helps to concentrate on form and also makes sure that the execution is also carried out properly.
Part II of Techniques in Kickboxing
To start with it is mandatory to get the perfect kickboxing stance. This actually means a kick boxers need to have one shoulder and the leg a little bit in front of the other (the dominant side should be at the back).
Part III of Techniques in Kickboxing
Legs should be wide open. The knees should be bent slightly and hands near the face. The main hand or the dominant hand should be placed at the side of your face, near the region of the chin.
Part IV of Techniques in Kickboxing
The hands should be in front of the face and by the chin. The chin should be tucked in order to allow boxer to protect his face from punch.
Jabbing in Kick boxing
Jabbing happens to be a basic technique in kickboxing. It is used between two punches. In order to execute a jab, a boxer has to start from a basic stance of kickboxing. In order to generate more power in the punch, entire weight of the body has to be used.
Cross in Kick Boxing
The cross happens to be more powerful, and comes from the rear arm, which means more body weight is used for the punch. Like the jab, cross should also be executed with twisting the hips and the front hand, for protection, should remain close to the face.
Uppercut in Techniques in Kickboxing
The uppercut, just as the name suggest, is executed with the front arm, to punch the opponent's chin.
Side kick and Balancing in Kick Boxing
Perhaps the easiest technique to learn is the side kick. Balancing of the body is essential in order to execute this technique correctly. Apart from this, the front kick is one of the basic techniques. To pull it off boxer must kick with the front leg. At all point the boxer must remember to keep his hand in the basic kickboxing stance in order to protect the body from counter punching.
Kicking requires constant practice as it is a matter of balance. In this case, specially, a mirror is extremely useful.
