Wriddhiman Prasanta Saha started out as a Kolkata Knight Rider player, but presently he plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Saha is a success story for Bengal cricket. He is a young talent to have come up from the east zone after a long time. He has indeed come a long way in Indian Cricket. He was successfully represented India at the Under-19 and Under-22 levels before setting his foot in the domestic circuits. He made his ODI Ranji Trophy debut against Assam in 2006-07 seasons. For the first three seasons Saha played for KKR franchisee in the IPL. Despite two international keepers in the side like Brendon McCullum and Tatenda Taibu, Saha managed to find a place in the side purely because of his batting talent. He made 12 appearances in the 2008 tournament, making a single half-century in ten innings. He played 8 matches in the second season of IPL, mostly as a specialist batter.
Wriddhiman Saha was brought by the Chennai Super Kings in the 2011 IPL Auctions.
