Goa Cricket Association is actually the governing body of cricket related activities in the state of Goa. It is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The Goa Cricket Association is involved in supporting, promoting and developing the status of cricket game in the state. It conducts cricket matches from basic level to international importance.
Activities of Goa Cricket Association
The Goa Cricket Association promotes and develops Cricket by conducting various League Tournaments, Tournaments for the age group Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19, Under-22 and Under-25 categories besides organizing and conducting National Tournaments.
The association manages three cricket grounds of the state: Goa Cricket Association ground ( Porvorim), BITS Pilani Campus ground( Zuarinagar) and Karai Shiroda ground. The Goa Cricket Association's ultra-modern and high-tech indoor cricket academy is situated at Porvorim. It also runs Indoor Cricket Academy at Porvorim. The academy has all modern facilities that are required for would be cricketers.
