Filmfare Award for Best Action is presented by Filmfare in its annual Filmfare Awards to the action director, stunt choreographer and coordinator who conceive, create and bring out the most appropriate awe-inspiring and breathtaking action sequences, in a Hindi film of the preceding year. This category was introduced in Filmfare Awards only in 1994.
Prominent Records in Filmfare Award for Best Action
Film action and stunt director Sham Kaushal has won the Filmfare Award for Best Action maximum number of times, with a total of 4 wins. Action directors Allan Amin and Tinnu Verma have won the award thrice each and Bhiku Verma, Akbar Bakshi and Vijayan Master hold two wins each. Sham Kaushal, in 2015 and 2016 and Vijayan Master, in 2010 and 2011, have won the award consecutively.
