Sharad Haksar is an award winning digital photographer from India, clicking world-class advertising, fashion, still life and concept based photo shoots and stunning images. Behind the camera Sharad Haksar is a pure genius at work. His clientele list includes BPL, Canon, Citibank, Compaq, Epson, Ford, ITC, Kodak, Mercedes Benz, MRF, National, Parrys, Pepsi and Ray Ban. One of the top photographers in the country today, down to earth and very unassuming, Haksar has won International Gold for two of his photographs at CAPI Awards 1998, California, USA. Born and brought up in Chennai and having Kashmiri roots, he worked in Bangalore with Iqbal Mohammed for 2 years before starting on his own. He is mainly interested in Fashion and Advertising Photography, but loves photography of any kind. He is also the winner of the 2005 Cannes Silver Lion.
Photography has always been a passion for him since the age of three! Two legendary photographers R.Krishnan and Iqbal Mohammed taught him the craft of photography and then he went on to the U.S to learn the technical nuances from gurus like Robert Farber, Constantine Manos, Brian Mc Nally, Bill Megaios and Soi Negrin. His pictures are simple yet elegant and all have a theme and concept behind them.
