Shadwidh Chikitsa consists of six types of prescribed treatments or therapies in the Ayurvedic practice. The six methods of Shadwidh Chikitsha are Langhan chikitsa, Brihan chikitsa, Rukshan chikitsa, Snehan chikitsa, Swedan chikitsa and Stanbhan chikitsa.

Stanbhan chikitsa: Stambhan treatment in Shadwidh Chikitsha involves stopping the movement of vitiated doshas.
