Sambhram Institute of Nursing, Bangaluru, KarnatakaThe Sambhram Institute of Nursing (SIN) is one of the popular and most notable medical institutions in the state of Karnataka and it came into existence in the academic year 1992. The institute was established by a charitable trust named the Sambhram Charitable Trust and it is situated in the city of Bangaluru. The institute is working with a view to achieve a large number of aims and objectives. The institute actually prepares the students for the `A` grade Certificate examination in Nursing and Midwifery, conducted by Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC).

The principal aims and objectives of the Sambhram Institute of Nursing (SIN), Bangaluru include instilling and developing an aptitude for Nursing in the students and providing the necessary knowledge and skill to give comprehensive Nursing care to patients in all types of illness. The institute is aiming to develop skill in recognising and interpreting intelligently the physical, mental and emotional manifestation of illness and be able to plan individual nursing care to patients based on their individual needs. Helping the students to work in mutual co-operation with medical and paramedical personnel and participate in various programmes for prevention of diseases and the promotion of health in the Community, is also an objective of the institute. The institute wants to help the students to inculcate the principles of mental hygiene and ethical and moral code involved in the practise of Nursing and also to develop an appreciation of ethical and moral principles involved in the practise of Nursing.

Apart from helping the students to practise and teach other principles of healthy living, the Sambhram Institute of Nursing (SIN), Bangaluru also aim to prepare them to be inter-dependent in their field. The objective of the institute is to develop an individual to be sensitive to the rights of others and be conscious of her/his duties and responsibilities to her/his own profession, fellowmen and the country. The institute is working to help the students in developing extra curricular activities, as well.

The Sambhram Institute of Nursing (SIN), Bangaluru admits several students from all parts of India, provided they meet the basic requirements and admission is done once a year. The institute mainly offers the 3 Years General Nursing and Midwifery Course. The candidates have to fulfill some criterions before getting admitted in the course. The candidates are required to have passed the pre-University/PDC examination or its equivalent, preferably with Science subjects. The students who have taken up vocational subjects for PDC are also considered eligible for admission. The institute considers only the unmarried female candidates with good character, conduct and sound health, eligible for admission. The candidates are also required to be aged between 17 to 35 years. The physical fitness of the candidates, certified by a registered medical practitioner, is also another principal criterion for admission in the General Nursing and Midwifery Course.
