Bapuji Dental College, Davangere, KarnatakaThe Bapuji Dental College (BDC) is a top class medical institution, situated in Davangere, Karnataka and is providing education about dental care. The college came into existence in 1979 by the Bapuji Educational Association, which was established on 1958. The college is working with the motto of "Education for All" and has been working with some other aims and objectives, as well. The college got the recognition of the Dental Council of India (DCI) in 1983 and it started offering postgraduate training programmes in various specialities, from 1985-86. The college started offering the Dental mechanics and Dental Hygienist courses in 1988 and the courses are duly approved and recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI), as well.

The Bapuji Dental College (BDC), Davangere offers a large number of courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in various branches of medical science. The college offers both the BDS and MDS courses in the subjects like Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Pedodontia, Orthodontia, Periodontia, Conservative, Prosthodontia, Oral Pathology & Micro, and in Community Dentistry. The minimum educational qualification for getting admitted in the college is passing the two year, PRE-UNIVERSITY Examination of Karnataka or its equivalent Examination. The candidates are required to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying Examination. The candidates, who have already passed the B.Sc. Examination (with the above subjects) from a recognised Indian University, are also considered eligible for admission.

Apart from the above mentioned criterions, the Bapuji Dental College (BDC), Davangere also consider some other thing, before admitting a student. The candidates are required to have secured not less than 50% aggregate in the science subjects (physics, Chemistry and Biology) in the qualifying Examination. However, the marks requirement is 40% for the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students. All the candidates should be aged at least 17 years as on 31st December of the Academic year of admission and they should be medically fit, as well. However, the college has offered some exemption for the MBBS, Degree Holders. The candidates, who have obtained the degree of MBBS or an equivalent qualification and desire to obtain the degree of BDS in addition, are required to undergo two academic years of study in the Dental College.

The Bapuji Dental College (BDC), Davangere boasts of state of the art equipment and Laboratories in all the departments.
