The Central Zone of the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 saw the participation of 5 teams, all the regular ones, mainly coming from the Central region of India. The teams included the likes of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Railways and Vidarbha and they played against each other for claiming the top spot in the zone. The teams also tried their best for securing a birth in the knock out level of the tournament. The zone saw the teams of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan teams advancing to the knock out level, as they earned 15, 13 and 8 points, respectively from the zonal level league matches.

The Central Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 started with the match between the teams of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and the two teams played the match at Udaipur from 20-23 December, 1994. The Uttar Pradesh team played well in the match and earned 6 points from it, by clinching a victory of 145 runs. The teams of Railways and Madhya Pradesh played against each other in the second match of the zone and the match was held at Delhi from 20-23 December, 1994. The Madhya Pradesh team clinched a victory of an innings and 70 runs in the match for earning 6 points, however, the Railways team could not earn any points from the match. The third match of the zone was played between the teams of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and the match took place at Bhopal from 28-31 December, 1994. The Madhya Pradesh team played very well in this match also and it earned 6 points from it, by winning it with a very good margin of 10 wickets. The Rajasthan team failed to earn even a single point from the match.

The fourth of the Central Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 was played between the teams of Vidarbha and Uttar Pradesh and the match took place at Nagpur from 28-31 December, 1994. The Uttar Pradesh team played extremely well in the match for clinching a victory of 70 runs and earning 6 points and the Vidarbha team remained pointless in the match. The next match of the zone involved the teams like Railways and Rajasthan and the match was held at Delhi from 05-08 January, 1995. The match remained drawn during the stipulated duration and the Railways team earned 2 points from the match for having a lead in the first innings. The Rajasthan team earned no points from the match. The next match of the zone saw the teams of Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha playing against each other at Bhilai from 05-08 January, 1995. The match also remained drawn during the specified period of time and the Madhya Pradesh team earned 2 points on the basis of its first innings lead. The Vidarbha team could not earn any points from the match.

The Vidarbha team appeared in the next match of the zone also and this time, it played against the Railways team at Delhi from 13-16 January, 1995. The match was the seventh of the Central Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 and it remained drawn during the stipulated duration. The match officials awarded the Vidarbha team 2 points from the match, as it was having a lead in the first innings. The Railways team earned no points from the match. The Uttar Pradesh team then played against the Madhya Pradesh team in the next match of the zone and the match took place at Meerut from 13-16 January, 1995. Both the Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh teams earned 1 point, each from the match, as it remained drawn during the specified period of time. The Uttar Pradesh team also appeared in the next match of the zone and its opponents in the match were the Railways team.

The match was held at Kanpur from 22-25 January, 1995 and the Railways team won the match by a narrow margin of 4 wickets. The Railways team earned 6 points from the match and Uttar Pradesh team remained pointless in the match. The last of the Central Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 was played between the teams of Vidarbha and Rajasthan and the two teams played the match at Nagpur from 22-25 January, 1995. The match saw a very close contest between the two teams and the Rajasthan team eventually became successful to clinch a narrow victory of only 1 wicket for earning 6 points. The Vidarbha team failed to earn any points from the match.
