Ranji Trophy - 1963-64 Central Zone League Matches: The teams like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha comprised the Central Zone of the Ranji Trophy, 1963-64. According to the rules and regulations of the BCCI, all the teams came from the Central India and they competed with each other for becoming one of the top two teams in the zone. The teams of Rajasthan and Vidarbha eventually got the chance to compete in the knock out level of the tournament from the Central Zone. Ranji Trophy - 1963-64 East Zone League Matches: The Assam team started to participate in the tournament once again from the Ranji Trophy, 1963-64, after missing the previous one. The Assam team was among the four teams that played in the tournament under the East Zone and the other three teams were the likes of Bengal, Orissa and Bihar. All the teams were coming from the Eastern region of India and they competed with each other for getting into the knock out level of the tournament. However, the teams of Bengal and Bihar once again became the toppers of the East Zone. Ranji Trophy - 1963-64 North Zone League Matches: All the 6 teams that participated under the North Zone in the previous year, were present there in the Ranji Trophy, 1963-64 to compete for the title. The teams included the likes of Northern Punjab, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Southern Punjab, Services and Railways and they first played against each other in the North Zone. The Delhi and Services team became the toppers of the North Zone and got into the knock out level of the tournament. Ranji Trophy - 1963-64 South Zone League Matches: There were 5 teams played under the South Zone of the Ranji Trophy, 1963-64 and the teams included the likes of Madras, Kerala, Mysore, Hyderabad and Andhra. All the teams were representing South India in the competition and they tried their best to get a birth in the knock out level of the tournament. However, the Madras and Mysore became successful to do so from the zone. Ranji Trophy - 1963-64 West Zone League Matches: The West Zone of the Ranji Trophy, 1963-64 saw the participation of 5 teams including the likes of Bombay, Maharashtra, Baroda, Gujarat and Saurashtra. The teams played against each other in the zonal stage first and then went into play with the teams of the other zones in the knock out level. However, the teams like Bombay and Baroda were promoted to the knock out level of the tournament from the West Zone. Ranji Trophy - 1963-64 Knock out Matches: After the completion of the league matches of the five zones, the teams like Delhi, Bengal, Bombay, Mysore and Rajasthan became successful to enter into the knock out level of the Ranji Trophy, 1963-64. They played the Quarter-Final, Semi-Finals and the Final match of the tournament against each other, however, the ultimate result was just the same as the previous few years.
