The teams of Bombay and Baroda played against each other in the next match of the West Zone at Bombay from 09-11 January, 1959. The drawn match earned the Bombay team 5 points and the Baroda team also earned 3 points from the match. The ninth match of the West Zone in the tournament saw a clash between the teams of Maharashtra and Gujarat at Poona from 10-12 January, 1959. The match went on to draw and the match officials awarded the Maharashtra and Gujarat teams 6 and 3 points, respectively for the match. The last league match of the West Zone in the Ranji Trophy, 1958-59 was played between the teams of Bombay and Saurashtra at Jamnagar from 15-17 January, 1959. Bombay played well in this match also and clinched a victory of 181 runs to earn the full 9 points from the match.
