Kongu Arts and Science College is one of the educational institutions in Erode that offers a wide variety of courses in streams of arts & science. Affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, it is a co-educational institute and is sponsored by Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust, Perundurai. Located in Erode-638 107, Tamil Nadu, the college encircles an area of 16.74 acres, with student strength of nearly two thousand and four hundred with one hundred and forty five staffs.

Kongu Arts and Science College, Nanjanapuram, Erode, Tamil Nadu Kongu Arts and Science College admits students both in undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes. Undergraduate courses include--B. Com, B.Com (Computer Applications), B.B.M, B.B.M (Computer Applications), B.Com (Corporate Secretaryship With Computer Application), B.Sc (Computer Science), B.C.A (Bachelor of Computer Applications), B.Sc (Mathematics with Computer Applications), B.Sc (Costume Design & Fashion), B.Sc (Bio-Chemistry), B.Sc (Bio- Technology), B.Sc. (Catering Science & Hotel Management), B.A (English Literature with CA), B.Com (E-Commerce). Postgraduate courses include-- Master of Computer Application (M.C.A), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A), M.Sc (Information Science & Management), M.A (English with Computer Applications), M.Com in Computer Applications, M.Sc in Costume Design & Fashion, M.Sc in Biochemistry, M.Sc in Mathematics. Post Graduate Diploma in Costume Design and Beauty Care is also offered by Kongu Arts and Science College. Business English Certificate course also are obtainable. Certificate Course in Library & Information Science (CLIS) too is in demand amongst students.

Research Programmes including M.Phil and Ph.D are offered in the essential curriculum. One can pursue Ph.D in the following subjects-- Tamil (Part time), History (Part time), Commerce (Part time). Departments like- Computer Science PG, Management Studies, Computer Science UG, Costume Design & Fashion, Biochemistry, Commerce, Corporate Secretaryship, Catering Science and Hotel Management, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Tamil, English, Hindi are well served by a team of efficient and qualified faculty.

The college possesses excellent infrastructure and other features to gratify the demands and requirements of students. The well-equipped Kongu Arts and Science College Library provides support to teachers, researchers and students of the college. Down the years it has successfully catered to the needs of all the departments of the college. The operation of this library is fully computerised. There are 3 well-stocked computer centres with latest MNC machines. Separate hostel facilities are provided to male and female students of Kongu Arts and Science College. A placement cell has been established with the objective of giving career advice and job opportunities to the deserving students. The student`s representative and a faculty-in-charge is part of this cell. It organises pre-placement talks, personal interviewing on campus, helping students to get better placements.

Besides academics, attention also is given on nurturing the culture of extra-curricular activities. Towards achieving such goals, several associations have been established, like-- Eco club, Women Development Cell, Alumni Association. Poonthalir Muttram started functioning on 20th September 2004, with the objective of helping the unfortunate and deprived people and also creating consciousness amongst women about the present day scenario. All students of the hostel are members of this club.
