Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Chennai, Tamil NaduDwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College was highly inspired by the philosophy, literature and culture of the Hindus. In fact its founders have developed deep attachment towards Hindu religion and thought, pronouncing "Vaishnavism" as their philosophy. It underwent a modest beginning as an undergraduate college in 1964, with Adhyapaka rattan T. Totadri Iyengar as its first Principal. During that time, the college had only four hundred `PUC students` and 24 students pursuing B.Sc in Mathematics. It has developed into a multidisciplinary centre of learning. In order to impart educational opportunities to those in service, Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav college started evening courses in 1971 and also distance learning programmes of IGNOU in 1992. Presently the college is one of the most reputed educational institutions in Chennai. The college is affiliated to University of Madras.

Located at "Gokulbagh", 833, E.V.R. Periyar Highroad, Arumbakkam,Chennai-600106 , Tamil Nadu, Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College offers Aided Courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
