Dharmadam Island is a tourist destination. Government pay for the Island from the local family that possessed it for generations. This island is covered with coconut palms. Consent is mandatory to land on the island. Dharmadam was known earlier as Dharmapattanam which was a Buddhist stronghold. Sree Koormba Temple: The Muzhappilangad is famous locally as the place of Sree Koormba Temple. The three day celebration is held in March every year here.
