The pretty actress Daljit Kaur played the lead role in the hugely popular soap 'Kulvaddhu'. She is in fact the new face of Sony Television. The pretty doe-eyed wooed the small screen audiences by her powerhouse performance in the hugely hit Sony show 'Kulvaddhu'. This exceptionally gifted actress hails from the Indian city of Pune. She is from an army background and herself is a commerce graduate. She is also the winner of several beauty pageants like Miss Pune 2004 and also the runner up of Navy Queen and Maharashtra Queen. She participated in the Miss Pune contest out of sheer fun and when she won it she exclaimed that she is suitable enough to try her luck in the modeling world. When she continued winning the beauty pageants she made her television debut as Manisha and did a lot of episodes in C.I.D. She also performed in other shows like 'Aahat', 'Raat Hone Ko Hai' and other popular thrillers. In fact it is front of the camera that she learnt the art of acting professionally.
It was quite an achievement for Daljit Kaur to bag the lead role in the Sony show 'Kulvaddhu'. In fact she has seen hundreds of girls loosing out on the audition part of the show. But Sandeep Sickand liked her in one of the episodes of C.I.D. and casted her for the show after the normal audition round. She also holds high regards for Anuj Saxena as he has explained her most of the scenes briefly and has also given her the liberty to make mistakes and improve on them. She herself wants her character to be a huge hit along with the show. She also hopes to be a part of Maverick and Sony as long as possible. She claims that the character is very much youth-oriented and there lies the difference. She also admires the level of professionalism in the television industry and hopes that she will live up to it. She claims that 'Kulvaddhu' is a dream start for her and as of now she is not thinking anything else beyond this character. She also does not wish to be a part of the film industry in the near future as she holds high regards for the television industry. She also believes the amount of popularity that the television stars get is much more than that of the film stars. In future however she will think of doing films and will take up if the offer, which comes her way, is indeed a good one.
