Zee Cine Awards are instituted by the Zee Network, a Mumbai-based TV Channel.

Zee Cine AwardsZee Cine Awards is a popular choice award. People from 120 countries can vote for their favourite stars and their movies. Zee Cine Awards or ZCA first began in the year 1998 in Mumbai. Its first time sponsors were Lux. With each year the sponsorship changed but the events were held with loads of glitz and glamour as the film industry poured in to participate in the award ceremony. Zee Cine Awards is associated with Zee Networks. The venue of the Zee Cine Awards keeps on changing.

The trophies that are handed out to the winners are 24 carat (100 %) gold plated. at the Zee Cine Awards the people vote for the 4 popular categories: Actor, Actress, Director and Film. for the rest of the categories a jury is organised each year to decide the winner. Critic`s award for best performance is also given out.

Zee Cine Awards are divided into several categories like the other major Indian film awards, such as, Filmfare Awards, Star Screen Awards and IIFA.

Besides these there are technical awards and other special awards that are given away at the Zee Cine Awards ceremony every year.

Zee Cine Awards, 2010 is most likely to be held in Singapore.
