The right-arm fast-medium pace bowler, Randhir Singh, had a foothold in Ranji Trophy cricket.

Randhir Singh, the right-hand batsman, and right-arm fast-medium pace bowler, was born on 16 August, 1957 in Jharkhand, of India .

This ex-Indian cricketer, has represented India in 2 One-Day Internationals for India. between 1981 to 1983. One of these was against the cricket team of England. The other match was played against the West Indies cricket squad . The Indian Cricket Selection Committee, tried to introduce some innovative changes into Indian cricket, during the cricket battalion`s tour to England in 1982. They welcomed some new players, to start things with a renewed vigour. One of these new choices, was Randhir Singh.

Unfortunately, Randhir couldn`t fulfill their expectations. He was unable to get runs in the course of the whole expedition. His bowling skills did not blossom to mark any betterment. He completed his One-Day International debut, without fetching a single wicket, against England at Ahmedabad in 1981-82 .

Still, after two years , he got an invitation back, to play for Team India against West Indies. He was called back this time to substitute the stalwarts, Kapil Dev and Madan Lal, who could not participate, due to some reasons. Randhir Singh, proved his mettle. He captured the important wicket of Gordon Greenidge. He also bowled for six overs, allowing the flow of 30 runs. However, this was the last international game, that he took part into.

Nevertheless, Randhir Singh, kept on serving as a good player in the Ranji Trophy cricket matches.

Randhir Singh, has tried to give his passion for cricket, his best.
