Gauri Pradhan`s father was a Major in Army, so this Maharastrian beauty has moved several places. She was born in Kashmir, after her father`s retirement they settled down in Pune. She studied Psychology in SP College. In 1998, she came to Mumbai to participate in Miss India Contest and reached among the finalists.

During her stay at Mumbai, Gauri has done several commercials and modelling, but she didn`t like to confine herself in it and planned to enter into small screens.

Very few people know, Pradhan`s first debut serial is `Noorjahan`, where she had done the title role. In Ekta kapoor`s `Kutumb`, Gauri Pradhan got the household name. People love her pair with Hiten Tejwani, who is later turned as real life partner. She first met Hiten in the Breeze ad film in Hyderabad. After four months they again met in the sets of `Kutumb`and finally married in 29th April, 2004 in a simple ceremony at Pune.

Gauri`s role on screen clarifies her nature in real life. She is introvert, happy with in herself, little bit reserve and gets angry very easily. She loves travelling.

Though Gauri Pradhan is getting several offers for films but doesn`t think it is right time to move. She got the Best pair Award 2003 by `Indian Telly award` and "Star Parivar award`.
In 2006, M TV`s Lycra Award nominated her as `Best Stylish personality`. For her mind blowing acting as Nandini In`Kyunki`, Gauri received `Favourite Bahu`s title at ` Star Parivar Award 2007`.
