USP of Australia:
Commencement of the session: In Australia, the university year usually comprises two semesters, that start in late February or early March and ends in early December. Certain courses also have trimester session system that begins in January, May and September. Student Visa: Apply for visa after receiving a confirmation or enrolment for direct entry to a course from the University and about six to eight weeks before course begins. An applicant needs to show proof of sufficient money to pay for tuition, travel and living expenses. A Statement of Purpose (SOP) is mandatory with visa application. Scholarships: There are institution specific scholarships, which can be found on their individual websites. Certain organizations like Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) also offer financial support. Accommodation Facilities: While some institutions do provide hostel facilities, usually a student is expected to pay for their accommodation. Part- time jobs: Students can work up to 20 hours a week during the academic year on and off campus and full-time during vacations. Future prospects: After completion of the program, graduates are allowed to take up permanent jobs in Australia.
