The Indian movie `Jab We Met` is directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Dhillin Mehta under Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd. The film features Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, which is their fourth film together. The distributors of the film, Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd, announced that `Jab We Met` will be remade in four South Indian languages i.e. Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. As of February 2008 the Bollywood movie `Jab We Met` has made a net business of over 30 crores and has emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year. PVR cinemas in Delhi would have a special screening of the film on Valentine`s Day.

Synopsis of Jab We Met
The Bollywood movie `Jab We Met` is a sweet love story of Aditya Kashyap played by Shahid Kapoor and Geet Dhillon played by Kareena Kapoor. Both of them understand their love for each other in the last scene and get married.

Aditya Kashyap is an Industrialist who feels defeated as the girl he loves is getting married. He gets more depressed when he attends the marriage party of that girl. He wanders out of the gathering, and finds himself on a train, speeding away into the night. On the same train he met a young girl Geet who is going to her hometown i.e. Bhatinda in Punjab. Geet is beautiful and extremely talkative. She constantly talks to Aditya about her plan of eloping with her boyfriend Anshuman played by Tarun Arora. She also plans something about Aditya. She tells him to marry her cousin. Aditya soon gets irritated by her and wants to get down from train. But Geet restricts him and this way they miss the train. They stand in a station without luggage and also money. Geet gets angry with Aditya and tells him to help her to reach Punjab. Rather she orders him to help her out. They start their journey through different means starting from taxi, bus and also camel carts.

Finally after many troublesome journeys they reach Bhatinda, her house, through highs and lows, only to be mistaken as lovers by the family. Geet does not give time to the family members to understand the whole matter and escapes with Aditya to reach the destination where Anshuman lives. Aditya leaves Geet in Manali as she says that she will be okay. with Anshuman. After leaving Geet, Aditya feels lonely and he decides to go back to Mumbai and save his business. He gets an extra energy to make his business big. He comes back to Mumbai and the office colleagues find him completely changed. Aditya changes the whole scenario and takes his business to its height. He brings back his mother who was parted from his father. Everything is going in its regular speed but something is missing as he desperately misses Geet very often.

On the other hand, destiny contemns Geet`s love story. Anshuman dumps Geet and she becomes lonely at the city. He is for his career and cannot understand Geet`s love. He tells her to leave him but Geet is helpless and cannot find a way out. One day, Geet`s family comes to Aditya after seeing him in TV. They abuse Aditya for such a decision. Aditya becomes shocked to learn that Geet has not reached home after that. Aditya tells them not to worry and goes to Manali to search Geet. He meets Anshuman there but could not find Geet. After knowing the actual story Aditya becomes speechless and tries to find out Geet. Finally Aditya finds Geet in a Himalayan town. She was teaching in a school there. Aditya though tremendously loves Geet cannot tells it to her and tries ti patch up things between her and Anshuman. After much discussion all of them decide to go back to Bhatinda. Back in Bhatinda, Geet`s family again mistook Aditya and Geet as lovers.

Geet eventually realises the fact that she is in love with Aditya and not with Anshuman. She avoids Anshuman and marries Aditya, her true love. The couple becomes very happy when Aditya`s mother also comes to attend the marriage. The film ends in happy note showing that Aditya and Geet are having two daughters.

The Indian movie `Jab We Met` has won awards in many contests as of now. Kareena Kapoor won Star Screen best actress award while the film was nominated for another six awards in Star Screen including Jodi No. 1 award. In Stardust award ceremony the film `Jab We Met` was awarded as best movie while Kareena was awarded star of the year and Shahid won Editor`s Choice best actor award.
