The tajjah samskarah anyasamskara pratibandhi sutra speaks of the acquired heightened state that one has already achieved. It is a peculiar condition wherein one is neither in the previous state of being, nor has proceeded to the further state. A new life dawns that was gained by supreme effort. However, the previous wavering of the mind can hinder the path of flowing truthful knowledge. This however also can be overcome through the dazzling wisdom.
tajjah born or sprung from rtambhara prajna
samskarah conception, instinct, formation in the mind; impressions acquired by effort are subliminal (samskara), and recollecting them is an impression or memory
anyasamskara other conceptions, other impressions or formations
pratibandhi contradicting, objecting, impeding
A new life begins with this truth-bearing light. Previous impressions are left behind and new ones are prevented.
When the power of the intellect springs from passionate insight, that insight neutralises all previous residues of action, movement and impression.
As explained in 1.45, the sadhaka is again at a juncture. New samskaras may continue to come forth due to the vacillations of the mind, and this may obstruct real knowledge. These mental impressions must be supervened upon by the power of discrimination, and then all doubts fade away. When doubts are cleared, the sadhaka has to dispose off even this discriminative knowledge. The new illuminating wisdom is free from doubts and discriminations; it blazes forth, a shimmering beacon of knowledge.
