The level of the flooring in the East and North should be low if the flooring is to be done in two or more than two levels. The level of the flooring should be raised gradually towards the West and South. The flooring of the room which is in the South-West corner is advantageous if its level is higher than the other rooms.

But it must be remembered that the slope should never be in the West or South. Also the circular or triangular designs on the flooring should be avoided. marble can be used for the flooring of the drawing room, dining room, Pooja Ghar and the study room. This is considered beneficial. But marble should never be used for bedrooms or toilets. Marbles of brown, gray, blue or red colors can be put to use. Although low leveled rooms are in vogue but heed should be taken so that the rooms are not low in the South West, North - West, South - East and South and West. Thai may prove quite harmful.
