Durva Ganapati Vrata is devoted to Lord Ganesha. It is performed during the fourth day (Chaurthi) of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravana.

 Durva Ganapati Vrata is devoted to Lord Ganesha. It is performed during the fourth day (Chaurthi) of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravana. During this vrata the elephant-headed Lord is worshipped with Durva grass or Bermuda grass (Cynodon Dactylon). Some devotees also perform partial fast on this auspicious day.
The Durva Ganapati Vrata is conducted on the day of Vinayaka Chaturthi (Ganesha Chaturthi). It is also conducted when the Chaturthi tithi falls on Sunday. The ritual needs to be continued for a month with 16-folded worship. Lord Ganesha is offered six sweet balls or modaka and six blades of durva grass with six prostrations on each day.
The deity is offered 21 blades of grass along with 21 modakas or sweet balls on the fourth day of Bhadrapada. He is also worshipped with 21 salutations and prostrations.
