![]() The 254th Indian Tank Brigade was eventually attached with the 7th Indian Infantry Division and the 5th Indian Division during the military operation in Burma. It also participated in the conflicts and battles such as Battle of Imphal, Battle of Kohima, Battle of Kyaukmaung Bridgehead, Battle of Meiktila and Mandalay and Operation Dracula in Rangoon. It also fought in the military operation in the Rangoon Road. The brigade was utilised various types of tanks in the battles, like M4 Sherman tank, M3 Lee tank and Stuart tank. The 254th Indian Tank Brigade was honoured with the Battle Honours for Burma (1944 - 1945). The most noted commanding officers of the armoured brigade were Brigadier W. T. Gill and Brigadier R. L. Scoones.
