The National Cricket Academy located in M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Karnataka was established in 2000 is a cricket facility of the Board of Control for Cricket in India for training young cricketers who are identified as having the potential to represent the Indian cricket team.

The Indian Cricket academies provide a large number of facilities to the young and budding cricketers of India. They also provide facilities for the amateur, or established professional cricketers. The academies mainly teach the young cricketers about the nitty-gritty of Cricket like the rules and regulations or the terms of Cricket. The academies also identify the potential of a cricketer and advice the cricketer to become a bowler or a batsman. They also teach the cricketer various technical things about batting or bowling. Apart from providing technical training about Cricket, the Indian Cricket academies also provide residential facilities and other necessary equipments to the cricketers.

Apart from guiding the young and promising cricketers to become star of tomorrow, some of the Indian Cricket academies also offer different facilities to the star cricketers of today. If any professional cricketer finds problem in his technique or is going through a bad patch, then sometime he comes to these academies and takes advice from the experts. Almost all the Indian Cricket academies have renowned Cricket personalities or yesteryear`s prominent cricketers, as their advisors or coaches.
