Shankh Mudra
Shankh Mudra can be practised for its curative and therapeutic value, also used for solving problems of throat .

Shankh MudraShankh Mudra is a common Mudra practised in temples. This mudra is good for solving problems of the throat. The mudra has been incorporated in various schools for self-development and growth. Shankh or conch shell is regarded pious by Hindus as it is believed to invoke positive energy. Conch shell is blown during all Hindu rituals. Shankh Mudra is practised by positioning and clasping of the fingers simulating a conch shell. When this mudra practised one can first sing "OM" several times. The Shell Mudra drives away every kind of problem in the throat. If practiced regularly, especially if sing "OM" is sang many times a day it can help improve the throat. It also has a very calming effect and leads to collection in silence.

Shankh Mudra can be practised by encircling the thumb with the four fingers of the right hand. The next process is of touching the right thumb to the extended middle finger of the left hand. Together, the two hands resemble a conch shell. If one holds the hands in front of ones sternum and chant Om with it. This can be done three times every day for fifteen minutes. This mudra can be practised as often and as long as one wants. Or use it three times daily for fifteen minutes as a course of treatment.
