Profuse, offensive perspiration, trembling of the body and extreme thirst for large quantities of cold water indicate this medicine.

Phytolacca: Severe pharyngitis with dark-red, ash-coloured appearance of this throat. Burning pain in the throat as if from coal. The pain shoots into the ears on trying to swallow. The pain is worse on taking hot fluids but better when cold drinks are consumed. When all these symptoms are present in a patient, he or she should take the medicine named Phytolacca.
