Standing tall at an astounding height of 51 ft, the five headed idol of Lord Shiva called the Bangeswar Mahadev statue is located in the temple of the same name in Howrah in the state of West Bengal on the bank of the Ganga River. The statue was inaugurated by the then President of India, Pranab Mukherjee on 13th December, 2015. The Bangeswar Mahadev statue weighs 3 tonnes and is made up of fibre glass, cement, reinforced cement concrete (RCC) and took 6 months to complete.
