Hair Care for Teenagers
Every girl has a different hair texture and hair type. Some have dry hair some have oily hair while some have normal hair. Therefore each hair type has a different treatment.

Care for Oily Hair

Oily hair has a very common teenage problem because your scalp is producing a little more sebum and oil than it should. For oily hair care, do the following:

Wash your hair as often as you can and if possible everyday but use a mild shampoo or a shampoo, which is for frequent or daily use. Avoid using anti-dandruff shampoos, which also stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum. Try not to brush and comb your hair a lot since both of these activities will stimulate the sebaceous glands. You don`t have to apply a conditioner for oily hair. If you want to make your hair drier then you can get it permed, dyed or tinted.

Care for Dry HairCare for Dry Hair

Dry hair needs extra care since it easily gets split ends and looks listless. For dry hair care, do the following:

Always use a good conditioner after applying shampoo and washing your hair. Let your hair dry naturally and even if you do use a blower, dry your hair on low heat. Before shampooing your hair apply oil thoroughly to your hair and keep it for 1 hour and then wash. Wash your hair as infrequently as possible, perhaps once in 4 days and use a mild shampoo. Don`t brush your hair out but just comb it gently.

Dandruff

Dandruff is not abnormal, nor does an infection or fungus cause it. It is merely skin cells that are lost from the surface of your scalp all the time and the presence of hair blocks the dead cells from falling off. They become piled up into thicker dead scales and this is called dandruff. You can thus control this accumulation of dead cells with regular, frequent washing, if possible everyday with a mild shampoo or a shampoo for daily use. Avoid rubbing or scratching but rinse your hair thoroughly so that you don`t leave any shampoo behind.

Hair StyleHairstyle

Your hairstyle should be one which is easily manageable and which will allow to be dried naturally and too much styling. The best way to find a hairstyle is to flip through a magazine and whichever style you choose make sure that it suits your face and looks realistic.

Change Your Style

If you are trying to grow your hair from the pixie types to the long tresses, then you are always going to reach that horrible in-between-stage when your hair just bugs you. Hair accessories can really help and also look very trendy.

  • Use lots of clips together to hold back that fringe that now just gets in your eyes. Make sure they are colourful or glittery so it does look as if you are trying to hide it.

  • Hair bands with a difference like the glittery and flowery ones or tiny ones to give you cute bunch.

  • If you really can`t face your hair then try a hat to conceal the same.

  • Hair ClipHair Accessories

  • Hair jewels are great for adding some glitter or tiny flowers all over then clip them in to your hair so they are not really changing your style.

  • When you tie your hair back clip bobbles on to the band giving you a very chic 80`s look!

  • There are some great bright coloured clip-in streaks for hair.

  • Metal bangles for your hair and chopsticks are very sleek.

  • Look cool in some coloured tinted sunglasses by having them on your head.
