Vikram Gokhale, Indian TV Actor
Vikram Gokhale is an extremely talented actor who has done some splendid roles in all the mediums of entertainment.

Vikram GokhaleVikram Gokhale, the son of another veteran actor Chandrakant Gokhale is a well-known actor of Marathi Theater and also a well-known Hindi film and television actor. He has in particular has this knack of getting into any character and enacting the scene. He is currently playing the character of Dhirendra Raisinghania in the very popular Sony show `Virrudh`. In a recent interview he claimed that the soap is turning out to be a very sensible experience for him. He further remarked that he does not feel that he is acting the character; in fact he is enjoying his role with its characters and smooth dialogues. He goes on to say that often he comes across scripts, which are overtly dramatic, or lifeless for which he needs to take the extra life out of it. But with `Virrudh` it is nothing like it.

Vikram Gokhale has been in the profession of acting for about 52 years and it was only 30 years ago that he got recognition as an actor. Since then he has been called the star of Marathi TV and theater. He claims that he really does not associate with the idea of being an `icon`. He believes that this is a fleeting notion and only comes from those who do not take the interest to look deeper into the medium.

Vikram Gokhale in ViruddhAs for the repetition of roles is concerned producers and directors seem convinced about the way he play these characters. That`s why he lapped `Virrudh` where his role has deep negative shades, as this was a chance of breaking away the monotonous roles in which he was casted so far. After portraying so many roles in his whole acting career he still believes that he has a long way to go. He would love to play a blind man, a mentally challenged person or even a historical character. One can always notice a sense of smoldering intensity in all his characters. He claims that it is the result of his studied approach.

He likes to be very involved in whatever he does and that gets reflected in his acting. He does not mind working 40 hours a day, as he is totally involved in films, theater, television and radio. He also writes, directs and teaches. He is also a realtor and his business is based in Pune. He also owns a mountain called Girivan; 30 kilometers form the city of Mumbai, which his firm `Sujata Farms` has developed beautifully.

Vikram Gokhale has made a great mark in the Bollywood Film industry with all his power packed roles. Some of the Bollywood chartbusters in which he appeared are `Tum Bin`, `Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam`, `Hey Ram` and many more. The latest film in which he has a significant role is the multi-starrer `Bhool Bhulaiya`. This great actor still he has a long way to go. Now he wants to move behind the camera and make a significant contribution. Recently he is going to shoot the DVD version of Jaywant Dalvi`s play, `Barrister` with Sachin Khedekar in the lead. He had done this role himself earlier on the stage; Barrister Gokhale had become his moniker. His huge fan following sincerely wishes that the actor would scale heights in the coming times. He also promises to live up to the expectations of her fans.
