Sayantani Ghosh is a reputed Indian television actress who has gained immense fame through her portrayal of the role of Antara in the daily soap Kumkum on Star Plus. Being a Bengali, the charismatic actress had played the lead role in three Bengali films and is committed to some more Bengali film projects as well. Sayantani Ghosh made her acting debut on television with the Hindi serial Kumkum in the year 2002. Later she was also featured in the series Naagin during the year 2007. Recently Sayantani also acted in the series Adaalat along with Ronit Roy. She was seen in an episode of Crime Patrol as well. The beautiful Bengali actress has become very popular in the Indian households because of her performances in several well liked Hindi serials.

In the serial Kumkum, Sayantani Ghosh plays the role of an orphan who met Dhruv, the son of the main protagonist in America and falls in love with him. She had never known what is joint family all about and was not sure whether she would be able to adjust it or not. Eventually Sayantani had to walk out of the serial due to some controversies. She also claims that television gives one instant name and fame. Luck was also with this actress when Ajay Sinha selected her to play the lead role of Kakul in another famous soap Ghar Ek Sapna.
