The very charming and suave Sandeep Baswana has carved out a niche for himself in the hearts of the small screen viewers by his character portrayal of Saahil Virani in the Balaji blockbuster show `Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`. He has also worked on another Balaji project `
Kkoi Dil Main Hain` where again he plays the character of the calm and composed Samay Punj. Recently again he made headlines by playing Saahil on
Star Plus primetime show `Kyunki`.
This talented actor was born in
Haryana and has been brought up in the Northern parts of India. He shifted to the tinsel town with the aim of becoming a director. He did a few ad campaigns for products like Kwality Walla, Britannia Chai Biscuit and L.G. Colot T.V. The commercials have infact boosted up his confidence to an extreme level. It was after this that he thought of using acting as a platform for the same. He has been in
Mumbai for over six years. He made his television debut with the Balaji show `Kuchh Jhuki Palkein` and soon after appeared in another popular Balaji drama `Kkoi Dil Mein Hain`. Then he appeared in `Kamal` and the Balaji prime time shows `Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`. The later one made him a household name all across the nation.

After working for three and a half years on television he became very much exhausted and decided to quit both the shows. He claims that it was not professional on his part to leave the shows especially the one in which he was the lead but he was helpless. After a considerable span of time he decided to make his come back on the television circuit and was casted in the character portrayal of Shlok in another much admired Balaji soap `Kkavyanjali`. Then he decided to be back on the sets of `Kyunki` with the character of Saahil as he can relate to the character of present Saahil very well with his real life nature. He claims that the dramatic tones and the intensity of the character makes him very popular with his sincere fan following.
Besides being very committed to work, Sandeep Baswana believes in keeping himself fit to sustain the long and erratic schedules of his profession. He does not get time to go the gym but makes it a point to do skipping and workouts on a daily basis. He drinks a lot of milk at least two liters a day and like a typical North Indian guy is very fond of `desi` ghee and `ghar ka khana`. He is more of a vegetarian. In his personal life he is at present single and absolutely ready to mingle.

In the recent past however he was seeing another popular small screen actress Ashlesha Sawant. In the industry he jells very well with the television`s `hot hunk` Shabbir Ahluwalia who is almost like his brother. He is a keen believer in numerology and astrology and believes in living life as it comes to him. He is very clear about his ambitions and in future he wants to direct films. He however does not intend to act in the filsm directed by him. He shares a very professional relation with all his co-workers and loves the sets of `Kyunki` the most.
