The extremely gifted Poonam Joshi is an absolute beauty spruced up with talents. She appeared in the character of Mehek in the much popular romantic soap `Kahiin To Hoga` which was broadcasted on STAR Plus. The fact that acting is in her genres is proved by the fact that she is the cousin of the Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi who has made a mark in the Film Industry by his comic character portrayals and also the television actress Manasi Joshi Roy, the life partner of the Rohit Roy.

Poonam Joshi made her television debut with `Kahiin To Hoga` but soon after she ruffled a few feathers when she walked out of the show to play the lead role in `Tumhari Disha`, which was aired on Zee Television. But when the show went off air she was on a lookout for roles and finally her wait was paid off when Rajshri Productions roped her in for `Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki` on Sahara One channel. In this soap she plays the lover interest of another popular small screen actor Aamir Ali who has already been shown married to Pari (played by Reena Kapoor). She claimed that though her character was negative in this soap as an obsessed young lover but still it was quite interesting and also different from what she did in `Tumhari Disha` or `Kahiin To Hoga`. She also performed in a Balaji Telefilms` Productions thriller `Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat`. Poonam also enacted the character of the evil sister-in-law Chhaya`s daughter Chhavi in the popular family soap `Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii`. She is a gifted actress who is suited for all roles. She is one of the rare young talents who are always geared up to prove her mettle as an actor. Apart from acting, Poonam is also a trained Kathak dancer. Her fans also expect that this young and versatile actress will go a long way in her acting and would create waves both on the small screen as well as silver in the coming times.
