Nivideta Bhattacharya aka Jiji, Indian TV Actress
Nivideta Bhattacharya essayed the role of Jiji in the very famous Zee Television soap `Saat Phere` .

The extremely versatile actress Nivideta Bhattacharya displays her acting skills with much grace and beauty. She has been seen in many shows in the small screen and is quite a popular face on television. Recently she was seen in the very popular soap `Saat Phere - Saloni Ka Safar` on Zee television where she portrays the role of Jiji, the elder sister of Tara (played by Ashlesha Sawant). She played the role of Tara`s elder sister and hates Tara to the core as her own father has given her entire property rights. She always feels insecured by Tara.

As Tara is unable to conceive she somehow manages to convince her to get married to her brother-in-law. She also tries to create misunderstandings between Tara and her husband but soon after her true face is revealed by her brother-in-law Nahar and sister-in-law Saloni. She was earlier seen in popular soaps like `Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki`, `Dil Kya Kare`, `Kundali` and some episodes of `Rishtey` and `DON`. She has also acted in other soaps like `Kartavya`, `Mujhe Dor Koi Khichhe`, `Margarita` and `Bhagwan Bachaye Inko`.

Nivideta Bhattacharya aka Jiji In the popular Balaji midnight thriller `K Street Palli Hill` she played the character of Arindam`s wife Debo. She also appeared in a brief role in the popular soap `Ayushmaan`. `Saat Phere` was the last soap in which she appeared. The much hectic schedule of television took her away from the world of theater. So after `Saat Phere` she decided to take a sabbatical from the world of television and pursue theater for sometime. She claimed that the daily grind of television took her away from theater. When she was doing the dailies she was not getting enough time to introspect. She often lost her perspective of deciding the goal she was heading to but during this break she utilized the time to return to theater and did some popular plays like `Loving Bombay`, `Ek Kadam Aagey` and `Sir Sir Sarla`.

The film career of Nivideta Bhattacharya also remained restricted to only one film. She acted in the popular Bollywood flick titled `Kya Kehna` in the character portrayal of Priety Zinta`s sister-in law. She claims that her desire to work with the renowned filmmaker Kundan Shah made her grab this offer with both hands. She wanted to act in other films as well in future but no good roles came along her way.

Nivideta Bhattacharya aka Jiji in `Saat Phere` On the personal front also she is an extremely happy and contented individual. Her family stays in Kolkata and for any sort of help she counts on her co-stars who are extremely sensitive and caring. She is happily married to the very talented Bollywood actor Kay Kay Menon. They are both known to be a very private couple and prefer to be like that. She does not prefer to socialize much and remains confined within her professional and personal circles only.

Despite having made a mark by many television soaps she does not seem to have any role in typical `saans-bahu` flicks in her resume. She claimed in a recent interview that she does not want to get repetitive and stereotyped. She is always on the verge of trying different roles and discovering herself as an actor. Her fans expect that she will make a great comeback from her sabbatical soon and would appear in more poignant roles and character portrayals. She also promises her sincere fan following that she will live upto their expectations in the near future by choosing to do more performance oriented roles.
