The extremely talented and natural actor Mohan Bhandari appears as the lovable father in one of the most popular shows on Zee Television titled `Saat Phere`. His appearance as the strict father of the female protagonist of the soap Saloni has earned him rave reviews. After being out of action for a considerable span he claims that he is very much excited to play this role as after a long time he has got a character which has loads of substance in it. His character in this essay is that of a father who is against dowry and also as an individual whose daughter has a tough time getting a groom because she is dark-skinned.

This talented actor had left his officer`s job with State Bank of India in the year 1996 to pursue his interest in acting. He also suffered from a brain hemorrhage and had quite a tough time in his life at that point of time. On his personal front also Mohan Bhandari is a very happy and contented individual. His son Dhruv Bhandari is all set to make his acting debut with Manish Goswami`s `Sixxerr`. His role is that of a successful cricketer in this show. In a recent interview he claimed that he is doing the show mainly because it has a cricket backdrop. He shares a very good bond with Manish Goswami who did his first show `Parampara` with his father Mohan Bhandari. He asserted in a recent interview that his father had done justice to all the roles that had been meted out to him so far.

He has been a wonderful actor throughout his profession and never got into any controversies. His huge fan following has not only accepted him well but has also respected his work. Even today Mohan Bhandari is very much respected and loved on the sets of `Saat Phere`.
