Though he made his film debut in `Drohkaal` by Govind Nihalani, it was in `Fareb` that drew closer attention to him. Soon after he again enacted the role of a nasty bloke in another Bollywood venture `Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya` but in this movie he is shown in a reformed `avtaar` towards the end. In `Virasaat` he performed equally well with the Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor and won much accolades for his brilliant performance.

This extremely talented actor describes his role in the movie `Fareb` and `Godmother` as "the role of his lifetime". In the later one Milind Gunaji feels fortunate to be a part of the film, which had the veteran actress Shabana Azmi in the lead role. He enacted the role of her husband in this movie, which is based on the true-life story of a woman gangster in the region of Porbandar, which is situated in the Indian state of Gujarat. He considers it to be a great role and describes the part after his death as the turning point of the movie when Shabana Azmi takes over as the leader of the gang. Another Bollywood venture, which has captured his boundless enthusiasm, is `Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa` which was again directed by the renowned filmmaker Govind Nihalni.

Milind Gunaji In this film he gets to play the role of the Naxalites. He claims that the most touching scene of the movie is the last one when he comes face to face with Jaya Bachhan and tells her that he is sorry for what has happened to her son but it was the part of his duty. He considers his positive role in the fil `Zor` as a breath of fresh air. Following that he again created waves on the silver screen by his performance in a negative role in the Bollywood chartbuster and award-winning film `Devdas`.

Not only was Milind Gunaji a good actor he was also a part of many commercials endorsing some popular brands encashing his good looks and suave personality. On the personal front also Milind Gunaji is very happy with his wife Rani who does not at all hail from a film background. He claims that she is truly supportive and understands the ways of the industry. Every time when he is linked with some or the other heroine he is working with, she stands by her as a staunching support. He is a very busy actor these days and when he is not shooting he follows his passion of wandering about in the mountains. He also shares a deep passion in music. He is a trained Hindustani vocalist and plays the tabla as well. His fans wish that he continues to create waves in the industry with his performance oriented roles in the future and he wishes he would do anything to get the love of his sincere fan following.
