Krutika Desai, Indian TV Actress
Krutika Desai has set her mark in the small and in the big screen with her commendable performances since 1980s.

 Krutika DesaiKrutika Desai is one of those glamorous actresses who have made her entry into the television circuit during the period of 1980s. She is the daughter of noted stage personality Late Shri Girish Desai. She is married to Imtiaz Khan the actor and director of the Hindi film & television scene. He is the son of renowned Hindi film actor of the yester years, Jayant and the brother of the late actor Amjad Khan.

Career of Krutika Desai
Krutika worked in several chartbusters of the small screen including `Hungama`, `Kismet`, `Zameen Aasman`, `Superhit Muqabla`, `Chandrakanta`, `Mansi`, `Buniyaad` and `A Mouthful of Sky`. Krutika Desai was very much appreciated in the serial named ` Chandrakanta ` which was based on a daringly different subject. The plot was conceived with the intent of shocking the middle class sensibilities and presenting an unadulterated view of the upper class. In another popular Balaji soap `Kkusum` she plays the character of Devanshi who has a certain amount of mystery and intrigue around her. In another popular Sony Television soap `Yeh Meri Life Hai` she plays the mother of Ronit Gujral who hails from the highest rank of the social order. She played stepmother-in-law to lead Srejita De in "Annu Ki Ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah" and Reena Kapoor`s first mother-in-law in "Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki" on Sahara One. She also played a role in the Epic Noorjehan directed by her husband Imtiaz Khan for Cinevistaas and acted in Sony TV`s C.I.D.

Apart from serials she has also worked in movies. She acted in Insaaf (1987) directed by Mukul Anand co starring Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Suresh Oberoi, Dalip Tahil, Shakti Kapoor and others. She also acted in `Dattak` directed by Gul Bahar Singh and with Rajit Kapoor, Anjan Srivastav & A.K. Hangal. The movie was produced by National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC). She also acted in `Apna Jahan`, which was written and directed by Subroto Bose. She has also acted in a Bengali film titled Dastak. Krutika has also worked in a Hebrew film titled `Turn Left at the End of the World.` She won rave reviews for her commendable performance in the movie. Krutika has earned name and fame in theatres also. She has acted in many Gujrati plays like `Shodh Pratishodh`, `Pallavi Bani Parvati` and `To Karo Shree Ganesh.` She did a theatre workshop `Akansha` for the street children.
