Kim Jagtiani, born as Komila Jagtiani on August 8, 1980 is an Indian Canadian television personality. She first catapulted to fame with the Miss India Canada pageant runner-up award in the year 1998. She also won the Miss photogenic award in the same year. In the following year however she took home the winner`s title. Soon after she put her academic aims on hold to pursue psychology and law and also to don a new role of a video jockey. She has been the anchor of various channels.
Kim Jagtiani has been the host of programmes like Daily Planet for a series entitled India Unleashed. She is also a video jockey (VJ) for Channel V India, hosting Cool Stop, P.O.V. and Club V.
Kim had won tickets to India and came to India for a few weeks in vacation and it was at that time she appeared for the audition of Channel V. She believed that her first audition was not up to the mark but she was offered a full time position. Soon after she was signed for six shows for the channel and she also played a girl next door in a request show. Following this, she joined STAR One in India to host the travel program Exotica
Jagtian was signed by the Discovery channel as the new co-host for its flagship science magazine program `Daily Planet`. She left Daily Planet in September 2008, and returned to India where she currently hosts travel documentaries for Discovery Channel India and NDTV Good Times. Apart from hosting shows Jagtian is well trained in various forms of dance, including jazz dance and Latin dance.
