| Abhay Vakil, the strikingly handsome actor who essayed the character of Parth in the popular Balaji family drama `Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki` is a very popular name in the Indian television industry. This extremely talented actor was born and brought up in Mumbai and completed his schooling from New Era High School. He recalls fondly the amount of Rs.50, which he got when he first did a show for Doordarshan at the tender age of 8. The 23-year-old commerce graduate from H.R. College has taken formal training in acting from Prof Roshan Taneja and has worked in a group performance in a Gujrati commercial play titled `Tagaddhinna` under Tanuja.

He is also showered with many plum projects that come his way and he regrets having turned them down for the lack of time. He does believe that training is important for many things and that it helps to increase one`s self-confidence. He was very lucky to have been trained under Roshan Taneja who has given acting lessons right from Jaya Bachhan to Abhishek Bachhan. He is also thankful to the very popular telly actor Aman Verma who instilled in him the belief that he is the best actor. This extremely gifted persona has also done choreography for his own television serials. Currently he is working on the serial called `Zahara` on Sahara One channel and talks are also on for a couple of interesting projects where his fans would love to see him perform.
On the personal front he is a very shy and reserved kind of guy. He also takes much time to open up with girls. Often people also mistake him for having loads of attitude. He believes in love and does not go by the saying that one has to find his/her love. He is happy to be busy with work at present. Although he has been linked up with many of his co-stars he is not into any relation at present and does not want to get into matrimonial alliance at such an early stage oh his career.
